1. When people hurt others they damage their tapu and make them feel sad.
2. People need to accept responsibility for their hurtful words and action and make up for the pain they caused.
3. When relationships are damaged by hurtful behavior you want to be reconciled and make peace in your relationship.
4. If you have hurt someone you need to ask for their forgiveness and show them you are sorry.
5. Saying sorry and meaning it is part of showing they need to be mended by kindness and reciliation.
