My St Pius X assembly

 Today for our lock-down learning time me and the whole school had a assembly about St Pius X. So what we don is that the assembly will start at around 11 : 00 but we had to get there by 10 : 00. We first had to start with the sign of the cross, after doing the sign of the cross we start with a few readings from some of our students, after a few reading we got a video for Bishop Micheal. When Bishop Micheal finished talking it came up to the Prayers of the faithful and I was one of them when we all finished the teachers told us what to do when we leave the call.  And for what our work was to write down why and you came to Saint pius X, here is my activity below.

This week is Mental Health Awareness week. This week it is all about taking care of our health. Mental health is an illness and can be debilitating for lots of people. Some times we can't control or explain our thoughts, feelings or emotions. Some ways we can help our mental health is by going outside, taking a walk, talk with a friend, to take time to yourself, playing outside with our brother and sisters, going to sleep early and doing a little bit of fitness. Today is Rātu or Tuesday. Our task for today was 'Get outside in nature with someone / E puta ki te taiao'. Here is my activity

 Today my music teacher called Ms Carter said that Add some lyrics of your own - what you are grateful for. Use the song for ideas but be original! The lyrics don’t have to rhyme but write them so they fit in with the beat of the Rap. Get help from others in your whanau - maybe they can write some lines as well. Put it all together. And Record it.

Facts about kava.

The roots of the pepper plant are ground up or crushed and added to water and then drunk. Kava is used in traditional cultural events in the Pacific Islands. If you are gonna drink it is not that safe to drink kava everyday but you can only drink no more than 250 milligrams per day. The effects that kava can do to you is mostly muscle relaxation and sometimes just makes you feel lazy and sleepy. For the pacific the kava can be like a  depressant drug. If you think that kava is much more dangerous, you're wrong because kava is actually much more healthy than alcohol. In the Pacific you have to be at least 18 and over to drink kava because it still makes you drunk.
