Open Ceremony

As the guests arrived it felt like the day was holding its breath because it went dead silent.  As we began our prayer I was nervous because I had a part in the ceremony. When it was my turn to speak I felt relaxed and ready. As I read my first line I felt relieved because I was at the perfect volume and I was reading perfectly.

Then there were the welcoming. The welcomings were like music to your ears. They were going perfect until Josaia messed up. Even though he failed and kept on going. Just like when you fall you get back up again. Everything was going great.

When we sang “Mo Maria” it was like you were in Heaven. I also felt surprised when one of the principals came from the other St Pius X school. One of the most surprising things was that they came from different parts of New Zealand. I thought they were all from Auckland but I was wrong.

This was one of St Pius X’s most exciting day of 2020 because all of the catholic principals were very impressed with our learning and our new school building.

My bible lesson-kindness

My Bible lesson-kindness

We are learning to be kind to one another this year. We are
trying to love and help one. At home I have to listen and obey
my mum and dad for what they want me to do all the time.
Also I have to be kind to My Aunty Kale,  Aunty Fane and
Uncle Rick at home. I have to be kind to other students like
they are my brothers and sisters at school. I have to give lunch
to people that don't have lunch. When it's break and you go
out and play don't punch, kick or push just play fair and
square. I have to look after the little one from   room 1 and
room 4. Every morning you have to help your teacher do the
chairs and do the books because he is the one that looks after
you at school even with work.

My Holiday

My Holiday

During the holidays I had so much fun because I got to spend most of the time with my parents. We enjoyed our time together. We ate together, we played together and we slept together.

We spent Christmas holidays in a place called Mangonui up North. Fishing every day was me and my dad’s favourite tradition. We caught lots of fish like snapper, travellings, octopus and Kawai’s. I used a little fishing rod and I caught some fish. My parents used bait fish to get king fish.
My dad and I were fishing from the wharf. There were lots of people fishing with their kids. My dad got two octopus while this other man caught a mug and everyone was laughing.

My favourite part was swimming in the pool. This was my favourite because I made lots of new friends and I had so much fun with them.
The friends were from the states. I also met a nice Phillipino lady called Aunt Maria. She really liked me and she gave me a Christmas present.

When Christmas was done. My family and I went to Whangarei to spend our New Year there. Holidays with my friends John and May on their farm was really fun. It was really enjoyable because I got to catch possums, feed the cows, see peacocks, and I also found a peacock feather. In the evening John, Lucky and I took the cat for a walk.

This was the best day ever in my life and I hope next year I will meet my friends again and I hope I will have another happy,
fun and exciting holiday.

It was only TWP 6 playing.  We listened to the rules, after the rules she split us up into 2 teams.1 team was standing by the red cone and the other team was by the yellow cone and I was in the yellow team. Two people was guarding the rock thats called the Tupu I felt fantastic! It was like I'm at home playing with my Dad and I felt excited when we started the game but I did not know how to play but I had time to play.
